There are 2 auto renew checkboxes somewhere. If you don't check both, you get billed. I cancelled all my service. These people are pennywise and pound stupid.
Literally the worst company imaginable. Got a business email through them and one day it just stopped working and they can't figure out how to get it back. Can you imagine just losing access to your email permanently?

I purchased some domains years ago from domain.com, and everything was ok until I wanted to let the domain renewal lapse as I no longer needed the domains. I turned off auto-renew on the domains thinking that by doing this I would not be charged. Wrong!! they charged me anyway, and when I found out I contacted them 4 days later, but they refused to refund, saying that they do not process refunds. When I asked them why they had charged me after I had deactivated auto-renew they said that there was no record of me doing this!! When I checked I then found out that I had not received any emails confirming that I had turned off auto renew, when I asked why, I was told that I would not receive any emails confirming critical changes to my account, unless I had a hosting account. They also informed that they do not process any refunds. The only option I was offered to avoid getting charged in the future was to cancel my account?! Awful experience, I would not recommend

In the past 90 days they have charged me 4 times for domains I haven't owned in YEARS - domains I don't even have access to anymore. Today, after sending me ANOTHER bill for a domain I don't own, I called them to get it removed. They then tell me that someone else has the domain now and I need to reach out to THAT domain provider to get the charge removed - because that makes sense right? Why would I call someone completely unrelated to get a domain.com charge reversed? Why are they even billing me for something they OPENLY are telling me someone else now owns....?
I don't know if domain.com is incompetent or just shady but 4 significant billing errors that they can't seem to fix is 4 too many. I'm in the process of transferring out to godaddy. I'll be telling my credit card company that any domain.com charge from here on out is fraudulent and let them deal with it.
Domain.com is a HORRIBLE company! They are corrupt and unethical. They have you sign up for website builder when it is free and then you pay domain fees, then they change that without telling you, causing your website to go offline, then the only way to get it back and working is by paying fees that go up constantly. There is no way to know what they will do next and then once you have built your website with them, you can't move it to another company so your options are to start over from the beginnning or to continue to let them extort you! DO NOT WORK WITH THEM!!
Considering Domain.com shut our domain down for a month at a loss of revenue on our e-commerce website and damaging our reputation. We could update the account password, security questions, contact information, but Domain.com wouldn't "verify" the domain, and so costumers lost access to our website. Domain.com is the worst registrar I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.
I transferred my domain from godaddy on 26th of January. transfer completed from their end on February 4th. as of February 24th, domain.com still have my domain in PENDING status. contacted chat support twenty times. called, emailed. no straight answer. every time they promise to get back but hardly ever. every time they promise a resolution in 24-48 hours. nothing happens, no one call or email back. no explanation
Edited Review:
I bought a domain and email product.
The email did not work. I was told they'd look into and get back to me in 24-48 hrs.
They refused to compensate me for the inconvenience. The rep pretty much ignore my request.
2/18 Update - after 2 days the issue was resolved.
The product should have worked upon purchase, but I'm happy that I can now move forward with my project.
DO NOT waste your money! After registering our new business domain with domain.com, we received a confirmation email with a different domain name, one that we did not request. It's impossible to reach anyone from domain.com for support; chat box would close out after a bot answered leaving you no way to communicate, the email response was an auto generated message that was not helpful, and their phones are not operating. After exhausting all options to connect with Domain.com, we're left with a website domain that doesn't match our business, and out $60. Horrible experience; stick with GoDaddy.com!!!
Hello everyone, please am new here can someone tell me more about the sit and how to earn money
I'm so, so sick of the poxy service these muppets provide. Nothing ever works properly! I can never get into my control panel, it's always "timing out"... for a company that provides website hosting I can't believe how bad their website is! I have a direct debit, yet EVERY YEAR there's a problem with renewal so I'm without emails for a few days. Terrible.
I almost never leave reviews on website's but this companies business practices are far from shady I was never informed of a $45 renewal fee which has recently been taken out of my account after contacting support they where useless
I bought 2 domain names and website builder (business plan) through Domain.com and had my professional website up within a weekend. It was really easy to use and for the money, I saved a ton on hiring someone to do it for me. The site is really easy to use.
